X-country

I hate the flight from Seattle to Newark. The first time I took that flight, I left my textbook in the seat pocket. This time, I left my iPod. And my bus pass - seems silly but I keep my bus pass with my iPod - I listen to my iPod when I take the bus. Now my beloved iPod and bus pass are either in the lost and found in Newark, Seattle or more than likely in the possession of person unknown. Which means some stranger is now privy to and in possession of my ridiculously embarrassing music collection and strange obsession with BBC 4, Slate and Veronica Mars podcasts. It could be worse. Some one I know could have my iPod. The past week has not been kind to my music listening/playing equipment. (See my earlier post re: the break-in of the Vo). I choose not to take this as some sort of sign that I'm spending too much time listening to music.

That sucks! I left my iPod on the seat on my flight from Seattle to Amsterdam in 2004 - the man wedged between me and the stinky girl on the right chased me down to give it back. (Thank you mr. stranger)

If you've registered your iPod with Apple, you can let them know it's missing and if the yokle who picked it up tries to get it serviced it will pop up as yours. There's a 2% chance that will happen but it would be great if it did.

In spite of all the a-holes in the world, I can't imagine finding an iPod on a plane and keeping it. Who would do that?

Oh, syp, that SUCKS!!! I'm so sorry. I don't know what I'd do without my iPod... I can imagine how devastated you are. I hope whoever is listening to it now appreciates what good music they just got their hands on! :)

Well that's lousy! A few thoughts:

1. That's a remarkably well-composed blog entry for something that you dashed off in no more than four minutes (timestamps). [tips hat]

2. It could still make its way back to you.

3. It might be covered on your homeowners' policy. Worth checking, though maybe not worth making a claim. But why am I telling you this? :)

4. You only lost the device and still have all the content back at home.
